Our head instructor, Ed Lomax, is one of the highest-ranked Bujinkan practitioners in the world, with decades of experience and a passion for sharing the art with others. We offer a range of classes for students of all ages and abilities, with a focus on building confidence, discipline, and practical self-defence skills.

Edwin Lomax
Head Instructor
Edwin Lomax is a Japan-trained martial artist with over 40 years of experience in the Bujinkan style. He is one of the highest-ranked martial artists in this style, having served as the grandmaster’s assistant at the Bujinkan headquarters in Japan for two years.
Edwin is the first westerner to be invited to teach regular classes at the Bujinkan headquarters, and his expertise has been recognised through his multiple appearances on Japanese television and in Australian and international martial arts magazines and worldwide seminars.

Bujinkan is a dynamic and versatile martial arts style that originated in Japan.
Bujinkan is a blend of nine martial arts styles, including ninjutsu, and taijutsu. It focusses on developing practical self-defence skills and strategies.
